Enclosed dog parks have become popular recently because they are seen as the solution for preventing dog-to-dog aggression. However, if not properly managed, a young dog may end up learning bad habits from the other dogs at the park instead. He may even get involved in skirmishes or fights.

Enclosed dog parks have many dogs together in a relatively small amount of space. There is little to no control in terms of a dog’s age, energy level, and temperament or some owners don’t care about how their dog acts.  Dogs are often set up for failure in dog parks and they are often put in a position to compete with other dogs. Many times dogs are often rewarded for bad behaviour and corrected for good behaviour. As a result, dog parks can be chaotic and unpredictable.

Our playgroups are facilitated by a trainer that will help you and your dog establish good doggie manners and safe play. You can also use this time to get advice on your issues.

Our Play Groups are offered in 2 groups a tiny’s and tots (Dogs 25 lbs or less. Puppies 5 months and younger) as well as dogs over 25 lbs and 5 months which is a perfect opportunity for your dog to learn to play and interact with other dogs and people in a safe supervised environment. Our playgroups help dog associate other dogs with positive experiences and teaches him to stay in control even when he is excited.

There are many advantages to socializing our dog.

  • Socialization allows us to include our dogs in more trips and fun activities. This increases time spent with our dogs and creates a deeper bond that is based on shared experiences.

  • Socialization allows us to integrate our dogs more fully into our daily lives. In this way we get to enjoy more of our dog’s company and vice versa.

  • Socialization creates a more balanced dog that can do well with other caretakers when we are away on emergencies or vacations.

  • Socialization allows our dogs to live a more stress free and happy life. A confident dog who is not afraid new things will be able to experience more and enjoy his regular routine without the constant stress of threats and fears.

  • Dogs learn that their actions affect their environment and that there are consequences for bad decisions and behavior

  • It is if the dog teaching most of the class by giving them complete control over their interactions and lessons to be taught

  • Dogs learn impulse control, how to control their emotions, how to make good decisions when under pressure, and most importantly learn how to trust. Creating balance, secure and trusting dogs.

20.00 plus HST per puppy.

Monday evenings. 6:00pm-6:30pm for puppies

7:00 pm-8:00 pm for adults

Tiny & Tots

  • Evaluation on dogs over 5 months of age or being a current/past training client is required before you attend. Puppies under 5 months don’t require an evaluation but we are happy to do one before hand.
  • Dogs 25 lbs or less. Puppies 5 months and younger. (older and larger dogs coming eventually)
  • Waiver, Registration and vaccination form must be filled out to attend but only one time
  • 30 minutes long, please arrive early. *DOORS LOCK AT on the dot*
  • Please make sure you book and pay before you attend.
  • Doors closes at the exact time and no dogs will be permitted once we start.

Walking with a pack of dogs is an entirely different experience for your dog versus walking alone. There is a shift in energy that you can feel and see in the dog’s behavior and attitude. We truly believe that walking together meets the innate need that dogs have to belong to and to roam together as a pack.
Pack-walking allows a dog to experience that sense of belonging with other dogs. The walks are also a great opportunity for a dog to practice their socialization skills such as meeting and greeting other dogs and people, behaving well on on leash, and experiencing a variety of locations, environments, and situations.
Pack-walks are an especially good place to start for dogs who are on the shy, timid, or anxious side as it gives them a chance to meet other dogs whom they may be able to play with off-leash someday.
For people, a pack walk is not only a good chance to get some fresh air and exercise, spend some time with your dog, and work on your dog’s socialization, but it is also a good for socializing yourself. It is so nice to be able to connect with other dog lovers who love nothing more than talking about all things dog.
We will be offering our structured Pack Walk Class biweekly for adult dogs over 5 months of age.

How we Start

All dogs are started on leash for the first 2 laps. Not only does this cut down on collisions, fights and arguments, if helps give us a second glance at all the dogs participating, helps with leash reactivity and energized dogs tend to calm down.

Rules During Social

  • Stay in motion walking counter clockwise around the field
  • No touching the dogs
  • No talking to the dogs
  • No disciplining the dogs (unless told to do so)
  • No watering for feeding the dogs, there is a dish out for water but once its empty its ok its only an 45 minutes.
  • No food whatsoever for people or dogs.
  • No toys.
  • No benches or sitting or stopping permitted. Owners will be walking the whole time.
  • No Smoking allowed on the property
  • Please pick up after your dog, both inside and outside the field.
  • Humans are not allowed on the agility equipment.
  • No  harnesses.
  • Owners must be in control of dog at all times on leash, once off leash our staff will take care of them unless you are instructed to put them back on leash.
  • The leash must be with you at all times
  • Once inside please keep your dog on leash and walk around, you will be instructed depending on the dog to remove the dogs leash, keep them on leash but drop it or to keep your dog on leash.
  • Dog’s  in heat not permitted, intact dogs are at my discursion.
