ONE-ON-ONE DOG TRAINING · WEST MONTROSE

Training built around your dog.

A private program gives you focused coaching, a customized training plan and practical support for the behaviour you want to change.

  • Individual plan
  • Owner-and-dog coaching
  • Real-world goals

PRIVATE TRAINING

Clear instruction. Personal attention.

Instead of forcing every dog into the same plan, private lessons focus on your dog’s behaviour, your household and the situations where you need change most.

01

UNDERSTAND

Find the root of the problem

Look at temperament, lifestyle, routines and the patterns contributing to the behaviour—not only the behaviour you see.

02

PRACTISE

Learn what to do next

Work directly with a trainer so timing, handling and communication become clear before you practise at home.

03

BUILD

Create lasting habits

Use consistent structure and short, repeatable training sessions to carry new skills into everyday life.

PRIVATE PROGRAMS

Private training programs

All programs begin with a training evaluation and include hands-on coaching, individualized homework and ongoing trainer support.

Foundation Private Lesson Course

For puppies, newly adopted dogs, or dogs that need a stronger foundation. Focuses on engagement, communication, household expectations, basic obedience, and building better choices at home and in everyday environments.

Outcome: A dog that understands how to learn, engages with you, and begins making better choices.

Reliable Companion Program

For dogs that pull, lunge, become overexcited, struggle to focus outside the home, or make walks difficult. Focuses on clear communication, engagement, loose-leash walking, obedience, and reliability around distractions.

Outcome: Improved engagement and calm walking skills that make outings more manageable and enjoyable.

Freedom Unleashed

For dogs that listen at home but struggle around distractions, have unreliable recall, or need stronger impulse control and dependable real-world responses.

Outcome: Reliable obedience around everyday distractions, giving you greater confidence and more freedom together.

Behaviour Transformation Program

For dogs displaying reactivity, fear, anxiety, guarding, handling sensitivity, aggression, bite history, or other challenging behaviours. Training is individualized based on the dog, household, safety concerns, and goals identified during the evaluation.

Outcome: Greater safety, clearer handling, improved coping skills, and practical strategies for managing and changing challenging behaviour.

Precision & Drive

Designed for handlers who want to build a strong foundation or advance their skills in IGP while developing both the dog and handler as a team. Training is customized to your dog’s drives, temperament, current skill level, and your goals within the sport.

Training may include:

  • Tracking foundations and development
  • Obedience, engagement, and precision
  • Protection foundations (no helper work)
  • Drive building, control, and reliability
  • Handler timing, mechanics, and communication
  • BH preparation
  • Individualized homework and training plans
  • Ongoing feedback and support

Whether you’re new to IGP, working toward your BH, or developing a competition dog, this program provides structured coaching to build clarity, confidence, motivation, and a stronger working relationship between you and your dog.

THE WORK BETWEEN LESSONS

Your follow-through makes the training stick.

Private lessons are a partnership. The most reliable change happens when everyone in the household uses the same expectations, tools and communication.

01

Practise in short, focused sessions throughout the week.

02

Use structure and clear boundaries in your dog’s daily routine.

03

Ask for help when you need it rather than letting confusion build.

A FOCUSED FORMAT

More room for the details that matter.

Private training is well suited to dogs and owners who need a quieter setting, a tailored pace or direct help with a specific concern.

  • Puppy behaviour
  • Leash reactivity
  • Pulling on leash
  • Fear and anxiety
  • Recall and off-leash skills
  • Jumping and barking
  • Basic obedience

Our guarantee

DRAFT — for Shanna’s review. Text is the published FAQ answer verbatim.

I guarantee that I will give you the knowledge and skills you need to have a well behaved dog. It is the commitment and cooperation of the owner, household, environment and the health of the dog that I have no control over and therefore cannot ethically give a guarantee.

YOUR FIRST VISIT

Meet first. Choose the program second.

The evaluation gives you space to talk through the full picture and lets the trainer observe how you and your dog work together before recommending a program.

Using our ENGAGE System, we help you build clearer communication, greater reliability, and confidence in what to do when things get difficult.

Before enrolling, we require an in-person evaluation to determine eligibility for our training programs. During this session, we’ll assess your dog’s temperament, behaviour, and suitability for training—and recommend the best path forward.

What the evaluation covers

A focused 60-minute session at the Endeavour K9 facility.

  • Your dog’s temperament and behaviour
  • Current training and baseline skills
  • How you interact and work together
  • The most suitable path for your goals

Dogs over five months old need an evaluation before entering a training program.

One-on-one dog training at Endeavour K9
Private training programs start at $900 + HST. Full pricing is provided during your evaluation, once we’ve met your dog and understand your goals.

Our starting price covers our Foundation Private Lesson Course, best suited to puppies or owners who need some guidance with the basics. Extended training, off-leash work, and behaviour modification will require longer programs. At your evaluation, we’ll recommend the best fit based on your dog’s needs and your goals, with your dog’s progress guiding the training.

What our clients say

You do not have to keep managing the same problem alone.

Start with an evaluation and leave with a clearer understanding of your dog and the training path ahead.
