Book an Evaluation

At Endeavour K9, every dog starts with an in-person evaluation — whether you’re here for training or for boarding. It lets us get to know you and your dog, assess behaviour and temperament, and make sure we’re the right fit.

Vaccination Requirements

• DH2PP-booster or Titer Test updated annually
• Rabies by Law but Titer Test will be accepted
• Bordetella – If you choose to give this to your dog, it must be minimum 2 weeks prior to drop off. If you prefer not to vaccinate your dog against this, we will require a waiver signed prior to drop off.
• Negative annual fecal float test annually. It should check for Roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and microscopic intestinal parasites (like coccidia and Giardia).
• Brucellosis for rescue dogs imported outside of Canada or the USA. https://vcacanada.com/know-your-pet/canine-brucellosis

We will validate your dog’s vaccination records. Once that’s done, we will send you an email asking what type of evaluation you are looking for — just let us know training or boarding.

All of our training programs begin with an in-person evaluation. We require all dogs over 5 months of age to complete an Evaluation and Temperament Test before being accepted into any training program.

This 60-minute session with our trainer allows us to:

• Observe your dog in a new environment
• Assess your dog’s temperament, behaviour, and baseline training
• Observe how you interact and work with your dog
• Discuss your goals, challenges, and history
• Recommend a program tailored to your dog’s needs

Pricing and package options will be provided after we’ve met your dog and determined the appropriate next steps.

• A standard 4–6 ft leash (no retractable leashes)

All dogs must remain under control at all times while on our property. This is for the safety and comfort of all clients, dogs, and staff.

We will send you a pending booking with an evaluation link at the top. Click the link and pick a date and time that works for your schedule.

In-person training evaluations are done at our facility Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday at 5:45 pm & 7:00 pm, or Friday & Saturday at 9:30 am, 10:45 am or 1:00 pm. We can occasionally accommodate Monday or Thursday during the day — these times won’t be listed, so contact us if you prefer a Monday or Thursday daytime slot. Please note these times are the same as our private lesson times.

All dogs entering our facility need to be on a regular 4-6 ft leash and under control at all times. No flexi leashes.

Thank you for showing interest in our boarding facility! We require all dogs to book a free Evaluation & Temperament Test and Tour before we accept them as clients.

This session is approximately 60 minutes with our kennel staff. During the evaluation we will:

• See if your dog is friendly with staff — not all dogs can be handled and we understand that; if not, they may be required to come in for a boarding trial
• See how your dog handles being in our kennel area (we highly suggest dogs being crate trained, as this makes them less stressed)
• Explain our feeding procedure and what a typical day looks like
• Address any questions or concerns while you are here

Please note: we will not give tours where dogs are staying, so as not to stress those dogs out.

Choosing a place for your dog to stay is one of the most important decisions you can make when it comes to the happiness of you and your dog. Getting to know the staff that will be taking care of your dog — and being pleased with how they will be cared for and who is caring for them — will give you peace of mind in your search.

Let us know you want a boarding evaluation. We do evaluations Monday, Thursday and Friday at 10:30 am, 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm, and Sunday at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Saturday is sometimes available depending on the training schedule. We will send you an email asking what day works best — once you confirm the date and time, we will send you a booking confirmation email.

All dogs entering our facility need to be on a regular 4-6 ft leash and under control at all times. No flexi leashes.

If you have not submitted your dog’s negative fecal results prior to the evaluation (not required for the evaluation itself), you will need to submit them before booking — our system will not permit bookings without all required vaccinations including the negative fecal test.
